I would wish to embark by saying that this review of taking in value in evaluating this lens. Taking that in, this can be one amongst my favorite lenses that I even have ever purchased! it's a manual focus lens, however you rarely ever want fast focus when using this lens and with as wide of a lens as this can be, the depth of field is thus vast that fully precise focus isn't required while not a while to undertake some tweaking. For a lens this cheap, it's very sharp when not at the acute aperatures (f5.6-f11). it's extremely pretty tight even at the extremes. it's a awfully fun lens to use and permits one to require inventive open shots that aren't allowed while not using abundant rather more expensive alternatives. i'd highly suggest this lens!

Wow, this factor is wide! I even have a Tokina 12-24 and that i took an attempt from a similar spot with each lenses set at 12mm. twelvemm on the 8-15 was a lot of wider than 12 on the 12-24, i am going to post the comparison later.

I haven't used it a lot of, largely as a result of it's a special purpose lens and that i haven't had several special purpose opportunities since I bought it. It looks well designed and was nicely packaged. however even at it's current worth ($1428), it's terribly high priced. The Sigma 10mm Fisheye might need been an improved obtain.

Some things to notice.

-On the Canon 7D (APS-C), at 8mm with the lens hood on you may get small bits of the hood within the shot. See my sample posts.

-This factor is therefore wide you'll be right next to one thing and still assume you're a ways in which back, therefore caution has to be taken to not bang the lens on one thing and injury it. on behalf of me this may be a challenge as a result of to urge the inventive shots i would like, i want to urge terribly near cause that nice fisheye perspective

A very little off focus

For the cash, this can be a good enough product. At solely $60 for a fisheye, it is not therefore unhealthy. however not adequate quality for the a lot of serious photographer, but then, I expect they might purchase a dearer lens anyhow.

It is an attachment, and fits on the top of your regular lens, it's not a lens in itself. Any attachment isn't an ideal substitution for the $64000 lens.

You need smart lightweight, and therefore the focus wasn't precise, on my 1st run with it. It takes trial and error, and maybe manual focus rather than AF.

Get your entire visual field in the picture

Lightweight lens with super sharp optics, and can be used to focus as close as eight inches. Great for close up nature photography, and you are able to get the flower in focus along with the entire garden in the background. The visual distortion makes some interesting photos at the 10 mm zoom level. Combine this lens with the nikkor 18-200 mm VR lens and that is all you need to carry on any trip. I did not see any flare except when shooting into the sun. Lens is 15 ounces, matte finish without a professional look as good as any nikon or canon lens.
